Service Opportunities in Worship & Music Ministries

We love our Volunteers!
  • Whether you enjoy being with kids or working behind the scenes, - you will be a valued and important part of our ministry. We have many, many opportunities to suit various ages and gifts. Worship Ministries & Music Ministries 

Worship and Music Committee

  • Meet with the Senior Pastor and Trinity Music Directors to plan the overall worship and music programming.
  • Two hour meeting; four times per year.

Worship Ministries

1.  Acolyte

  • 7th grade confirmation students light candles at the altar and elsewhere for special occasions
  •  One hour per worship service.

2. Altar flowers

  • Provide flowers in honor or memory of person(s) or event. Sign up on flower chart posting on the bulletin board by the church office door.

3. Altar Guild

  • Help prepare and maintain the altar area for worship, Communion and Baptisms. Supervise confirmation students in setting up communion. Training is provided.
  •  Six – eight hours per month, one month per year.

4.  Sound Booth

  • Help out with our Sunday morning worship service. Help is needed running cameras, monitoring light & sound equipment and running computer projection. Every Sunday worship service, a total of three people is needed for each worship service. Training will be offered at your convenience
  •  Serve as often as able.

5. Communion Server

  • Assist the Pastors in distributing Communion during one worship service per Sunday. Training provided.
  •  Serve as often as able.

6. Greeter

  • Greet worshipers at the main entrance of the Nave before one of the Sunday morning services. A great opportunity for singles, families, confirmation students or friends.
  •  Twenty minutes prior to one worship service. Serve as often as able.

7. Nursery

  • Provide an essential service to Trinity families with children aged infant to 36 months. Assist the Nursery Care Giver on Sunday mornings from 8 to 11:30 am.
  •  Serve as often as able.

8.  Usher

  • Distribute bulletins, assist with seating, collect offering, assist with directing people for Communion and Baptism, count number of worshippers, and help ready the worship space for next service. Training provided.
  •  Approximately 90 minutes, one worship service per month.

Music Ministries

1.  AWE Music Team

  • Vocal and instrumental musician’s lead praise and worship music at Trinity’s Alternative Worship Experience services, approximately two to three times per month.
  •  Rehearses Tuesdays 6:30 – 7:30 pm.

2.  Trinity Bells

  • People aged 7th grade and older ring praises to God with hand bells and hand chimes. Basic music reading ability needed.
  •  Rehearses Wednesdays 7:45 to 8:45 pm; provides special music at both services on the second Sunday of the month, October – May.

3Trinity Flute Choir

  • Flutist’s aged 10th grade through adult are invited to play in this choir which meets at 4:30 pm every Wednesday.

4TLC Singers

  • People aged 9th grade through adult enjoy the fun of musical fellowship while praising God. Provides special music at both worship services twice per month.
  •  Rehearses Wednesdays from 6:45 -7:45 pm, September through May.

5Vocalists and Instrumentalists

  • The musically gifted are invited to share their talents, whether as a solist or as part of an ensemble, during worship.
